Name: Harry James Potter
Age: 17
Year: 7th Year
Gender: Male
Blood: Half-Blood
Standing: OoP
Wand: Holly 11 Inches, phoenix feather core.
Broom: Firebolt
History: In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry did not even know that he was a wizard until his eleventh birthday, when Rubeus Hagrid, Hogwarts gamekeeper and aide to headmaster Professor Albus Dumbledore, explained to Harry his situation, and also told him of his fame in the wizarding community. Over time, Harry will become annoyed by his high profile, and its effect on his relationships, causing various people either to fawn over him or hate him for it.
However, shortly after finding out about the wizarding world and his part in it, Harry began his studies at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There he was placed in Gryffindor House, and made quick friends with Ron Weasley and later Hermione Granger. Draco Malfoy, however, who is placed in Slytherin, becomes Harry's enemy at Hogwarts. Harry shares his dormitory with Ron, Neville Longbottom, Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas. Harry's first year was marked by many things, such as him being chosen for the position of Seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch team due to his natural flying abilities, making him the youngest house player in a century.
Using Hogwarts teacher Professor Quirrell as a host body, Voldemort came to Hogwarts in his search for the stone. Harry managed to thwart Voldemort and survived a confrontation with him on account of the protection afforded to him by his mother's final act. Voldemort was unable to touch Harry and fled, leaving Quirrell to die.
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry faced more challenges. Some were only merely annoying (such as Gilderoy Lockhart's attempt to exploit his fame and Colin Creevey's hero worshipping), while more serious was the hardly bearable ostracism by most of the school after being revealed as a parselmouth, and suspicion of being the Heir of Slytherin, causing rampant attacks throughout the school. His toughest challenge, however, was in the form of a deadly Basilisk that was released by the spirit of Tom Riddle. Tom Riddle released the snake from the aforementioned chamber while controlling Ginny Weasley. Harry killed the snake and saved Ginny.
In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry started to change. He developed angry feelings because he believed Sirius Black, a recent escapee of Azkaban, to be responsible for the betrayal of his parents' wherabouts to Voldemort. Harry also discovered that Black was his father's best friend, as well as his godfather. This further infuriated Harry and incited him to find and kill Black. Later on, however, Harry found that it was not Sirius who betrayed his parents, but a servant of Lord Voldemort's named Peter Pettigrew, another old friend of Harry's father and Sirius. Harry helped save Buckbeak and Sirius from certain death.
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is mysteriously chosen to compete in the Triwizard Tournament, though he did not enter his name and is too young to qualify. Competing means being forced to face three dangerous tasks, the last culminating in racing to win the Triwizard Cup. After both Harry and Cedric Diggory have been chosen to be Hogwarts champions, they start to become friends. Harry tells Cedric what all of the other champions already knew- the first task would involve a dragon. In return for Harry's kindness, Cedric gives Harry a hint about how to figure out the clue they'd been given for the second task. Cedric ends up being killed after touching the trophy that was actually a portkey. Harry told Dumbledore who inturn informed everyone that Voldemort was back.
In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix begins with Harry at the Dursleys', desperate for some news of the wizarding world and its status, knowing that Voldemort is now back (and the ministry hasn't accepted it). After breaking the law (by using magic) to save his and Dudley's life (from dementors), The Advance Guard of the Order of the Phoenix (an organization formed to resist Voldemort) rescues Harry from his aunt and uncle's house. He then goes to court. He is excused and goes to Hogwarts. Dolores Umbridge is put in by the Ministry as the DADA professor. Many things changed and soon Harry and his friends found themselves trying to save Sirius who really isn't in any danger. Harry gets the prophecy and accidently breaks it but Dumbledore later tells him what it said. Sirius Black died that night.
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the wizarding population has come to call Harry "the Chosen One" - The Daily Prophet having leaked the story that there was a prophecy in the Ministry that said Harry was to kill Voldemort. However, these claims remain unconfirmed - Dumbledore and Harry decide that, for the time being, only Harry's closest friends should know of the prophecy's details. Thus, Harry tells Ron and Hermione what he knows, but refuses to divulge its contents to the newly elected Minister for Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour. Dumbledore starts teaching Harry about Voldemort's horcruxes. Later after Dumbledore and Harry get back from finding one Death eaters enter Hogwarts. Soon Severus Snape kills Dumbledore. At the end Harry told his friends he would not return for his seventh year. He needed to find the remaining horcruxes.
Personality: He is a complex person who is brave, proud, spirited, honest, generous, loyal, self-centered but caring, fated for fame, likely to inherit legacies from dead loved ones, friendly yet temperamental, more sensitive and dreamy than he lets on, vengeful, emotional and darkly brooding at times.
Hobbies: Quidditch
Sample Role Play: The cold night air blew in through the open bathroom window and blew through Harry’s messy jet black hair. His jade green eyes stared clearly through his round glasses back at him in the mirror. A clock on the wall read 11:55 as Harry clenched his jaw in anticipation. In five minutes he would offically be of age. He took several deep breaths. It didn't make that much of a difference other then he'd be able to apperate and do spells outside of Hogwarts.
The chimming of the clock told him it was time. He
was seventeen years old now. He was now allowed to do things he hadn't been allowed to do just a minute ago. He looked back in the mirror. His eye shown like to bright jade stones. If you looked very deep down you could probably see pain and heartache. Two important people to him had died just as the two most important people in his life had died when he was just a baby by Voldemort. Niether could live while the other servived. That phrase played and replayed through his mind these days.
Harry shook his head as he heard scuffling around downstairs. He frowned and opened the door to go downstairs. Cautiously he went downstair with his wand in tow. "Lumos," he whispered. Surprise flickered across his face when he saw who was in the kitchen looking through the fridge and cabnets. What the hell was Dudley looking for?
“What do you want?” Dudley snarled, leaning over with difficulty to pick up the dropped items Harry now noticed was in his big, fat chubby hands. He shrugged. "I was wondering who could possibly be down in the kitchen at this time of night. Shouldn't you be in bed?" he asked. Dudley just glared at him. Good thing his hands were full. He looked about ready to actually do something drastic. Harry crossed his arms and shook his head.
The kitchen seemed stuffy with Dudley in it concidering his size now. Harry snickered at his cousin. "What is that look for?" he growled at Harry. He rose his hands up. "Nothin," he said quickly. Picking a fight with Dudley would not help anything. Besides he should be more responsible now that he was older.
"Do you know what time it is Dudley?" he asked leaning against the nearby wall. Dudley picked somemore stuff up and frowned at him. "No why?" he asked glaring with his piggy eyes. "It's fifteen after midnight," he said smiling. Dudley didn't seem the least bit affected by this news. "Can't sleep," he muttered. Harry couldn't blame him. Not to long ago his cousin and him had been attacked by Dementor's. It seemed to haunt Dudley.
Harry shrugged and shook his head. He turned to go back upstairs not looking back to see if Dudley was going back to bed. After all that had been done to him by the Dursley's he wasn't to enthusiastic to help any of them. Basically they were almost ignoring him.
He entered his room and closed the door. Hedwig looked at him with her black beady eyes. He sighed and went over to her to stroke her feathers. "Get some sleep Hedwig. Its going to be a long day," he muttered under his breath. He looked outside wishing he could see the stars. Being in a city really didn't help when you were trying to look up at the night sky. Sometimes he actually missed the Great Hall where the cieling reflected the night sky. He looked back at Hedwig and sighed. "Good night Hedwig," he whispered. He moved to his bed and laid down. Tonight he really couldn't sleep. After all he'd turned seventeen. He was now offically of age and it felt good.
